A 2-0-0 record this week included a 5-2 regulation win over New Jersey Devils and a 5-2 regulation victory against Calgary Flames. Carolina Hurricanes (No. 2, 0.90 rating) Carolina Hurricanes remain at No. 2 with a 12-2-2 season record and 26 standings points. Rivals changing caused most of Minnesota's three-spot rise in the rankings.

Boston Bruins (No. 4, 0.60 rating) Boston Bruins hold No. 4 with a 10-4-1 season record and 21 standings points. Boston compiled a 1-2-0 record this week, dropping a 1-2 regulation result to Carolina Hurricanes before securing a 5-4 overtime win against Chicago Blackhawks. Risers and Fallers

Montréal Canadiens (No. 8, 0.35 rating) Montréal Canadiens earned the week's largest rise, moving up five spots due entirely to their own rating improvement. Montréal posted a 3-0-0 record this week to reach a 9-3-2 season record. They beat Dallas Stars 5-2 in regulation, exceeding a pre-game model expected margin of -0.7, and posted a 2-0 regulation shutout against St. Louis Blues.

New Jersey Devils (No. 16, -0.04 rating) New Jersey Devils jumped four places to No. 16, with the movement driven mostly by their own rating progress. New Jersey went 2-1-0 this week, bringing their season record to 9-5-0. They opened the week with a 5-1 regulation win over Dallas Stars against a pre-game expected margin of -1.12, followed by a 5-2 regulation victory over Vegas Golden Knights.

Los Angeles Kings (No. 25, -0.33 rating) Los Angeles Kings moved up four spots to No. 25 solely because of their own rating improvement. Los Angeles recorded a 2-2-0 record this week for a 4-7-2 season record. Their climb was highlighted by a 6-3 regulation win against New York Rangers and a 6-5 overtime win against Ottawa Senators.

Winnipeg Jets (No. 30, -0.68 rating) Winnipeg Jets recorded the week's largest fall, dropping four places to No. 30 mostly because of their own rating drop. Winnipeg registered a 0-4-0 record this week, falling to a 4-8-3 season record. Their slide included a 1-5 regulation loss to Florida Panthers and a 0-7 regulation defeat against Carolina Hurricanes.

Dallas Stars (No. 6, 0.54 rating) Dallas Stars dropped three spots to No. 6, with the move caused entirely by their own rating decline. Dallas logged a 1-2-0 record this week to stand at an 8-5-1 season record. They fell 1-5 in regulation to New Jersey Devils and lost 2-5 in regulation to Montréal Canadiens.

New York Rangers (No. 18, -0.09 rating) New York Rangers fell three places to No. 18 due entirely to their own rating drop. Rangers posted a 0-2-0 record this week, moving their season record to 7-7-1. The slide followed a 3-6 regulation defeat to Los Angeles Kings and a 1-4 regulation loss against Edmonton Oilers.
